Sr. COMMS CUSTOMER ENGINEER - 614978
Job Function
Work closely with customers and internal teams on customizing and validating customer products, especially for telecommunication system. Work with internal program management and marketing/sales teams in all phases of customer engagements from pre-sales and bring-up to production and maintenance. Act as an effective liaison between customers, FAEs and internal product engineering teams. Implement best customer support, documentation and communication practices.
Responsibilities
� Analyze and identify customer products telephony related issues, root cause the issues and provide the solution of the issues, independently or with other internal technical teams
� Provide professional training to customer for the platform architecture.
� Identify product definition gaps between customer product spec and platform production spec on modem telephony part.
� Good communication and guidance with customer to push issue solving.
� Skills/Experience 5 to 10 years of experience in wireless and telecommunication system development or trouble shooting.
� Strong capability for software debugging and system tuning on telephony stack in wireless mobile phone product
� Deep knowledge of GSM, GPRS, EDGE, WCDMA.
� Experience in Android telephony framework and stack is required.
� Strong communication and interpersonal skills required, ability to communicate and interface with the customers, and cross functional teams
� Previous customer interface experience as well as WLAN and/or Bluetooth experience would be helpful.
� Knowledge in Linux/Android, RF and production is a plus.
� Knowledge in phone product life cycle.
� Be able to travel domestic or overseas
� Good oral and writing English.
� Education Requirements Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
