Job Description: Product Line Manager- Modular Merox
DIRECT ACCOUNTABILITY:
(a) To manage opportunities for Modular Merox within the UOP organization on a worldwide basis.
(b) To provide support (i.e. technical configuration, proposal, cost data etc) to Sales for Modular Merox in all geographic regions.
(c) For licensing events, take on early lead efforts to support Sales by positioning a Modular Merox option favourably.
(d) To interact with customers to understand technical requirements and accompany Sales at meetings/ presentations, submission of budget and/ or fixed price proposals etc.
(e) To lead effort with technical team to create solutions that address customer needs.
(f) To direct detailed technical reviews of customer ITB/ RFQ documents and to develop a technical solution/ response that addresses customer needs.
(g) To develop COSTS for a Modular Merox offering (both budgetary & fixed priced) including providing payment terms based on "compliant" CASH FLOW status.
(h) To lead technology tie-up for those customer ITB/ RFQ wherein a non-UOP technology is required.
(i) To possess up-to-date technical knowledge on current developments of new product technologies, with specific focus on competitive environment, competitive products & offerings, SWOT analysis etc.
(j) To lead efforts in preparation of product brochures, sales tools, presentations, application checklists, proposal templates, cost & pricing sheets, and other tools, as required by Sales.
(k) To lead assessment of achieving product targets (i.e.cost, delivery, quality, improvements, schedule etc) with intent to improve UOP's Modular Merox product and offering.
(l) To prepare and to maintain detailed plans for Modular Merox product.
(m) To hold project closeout meetings to assess how product targets (like cost, delivery, quality, problems, successes & failures, improvements, schedule etc) were met during project execution to better understand and manage the Modular Merox product.

INDIRECT ACCOUNTABILITY:
(1) To participate in Sales, Marketing (technology management teams), and industry-wide seminars and conferences relating to Modular Merox, to keep current on new product technology and on competitive environment.
(2) To provide recommendations to Sales personnel in development of project strategies and customer value propositions relating to Modular Merox.
(3) To assist Marketing, Procurement and Legal in the construction, negotiation, execution and subsequent activities of strategic Modular Merox vendor marketing/ alliance/ licensing agreements.
(4) To assigned by Manager, to contribute toward the development of Modular Merox strategic plan (aligning with the corporate plan) and an annual operating plan and budget.
(5) To identify Modular Merox product opportunities and to provide input to Project & Commercial Sales for Business Forecaster updates.
(6) To recommend to PTE Marketing on Modular Merox in resolution of problems or make changes/ improvements.
(7) To participate on product improvement projects relating to Modular Merox, as assigned by Manager.
(8)  To provide mentoring to engineers engaged in sales support, as assigned by Manager.
(9)  When called upon, to assist Sales with negotiations involving Modular Merox product.
Qualification
• Bachelor's Degree (B.E/ B.Tech) in Engineering
• Demonstrated strong working knowledge of Project execution of Equipment products and/ or of UOP Merox Technology in India
• >15 years of total work experience with ~5 years in managing project(s) in refining and/ or petrochemical industry
• Strong communications and presentation skills

Additional Qualifications:
• Product knowledge of Modular Merox-related products and sales tools, strategic component vendors, and processes.
• Knowledge of UOP sales process including strategy and tactics employed in the Modular Merox area.
• Knowledge of commercial "terms and conditions", cost analysis, financial analysis, contractual instruments like PO's, agreements etc and negotiations.
• Ability to work with several UOP disciplines to pull together Modular Merox solutions
- Advanced degree desirable but not required
• Understanding of fundamentals of UOP's Equipment products is a plus
• Field/ Site experience in refining and/ or petrochemical industry is a plus
