This position is for a Senior ABAP Development Specialist,. Staff working for Bell Helicopter, Textron, located in Global Village, Bangalore, Textron India Offices.

SAP ABAP Development Specialist

This resource will participate in the Bell SAP Team, defining and developing ABAP programs and other Bell and Textron standard tools supporting the development of SAP solutions at Bell Helicopter.

Job Responsibilities include, but not limited to

·         Work closely with US onsite IT / business user teams- as needed to triage/ trouble shoot Various production support escalations

·         Provide on-call, escalated process support to IT users after the US team leaves work

·         Perform technical support for interfaces, enhancements, conversions, forms, reports, and other technical objects

·         Review functional specifications, Create technical Specification and develop ABAP/SAP technology based solutions.

·         Assist in Functional Unit testing of the developed solution and help coordinate with Onsite US team on Integration, performance and user acceptance testing. Develop SAP improvements projects within the set timelines as agreed by IT and business team members

·         Follow SAP team policies and procedures and participate in the SAP Change Control process.

                                                                                                            

Key skills and Requirements:

·         6+  years of ABAP WRICEF experience across multiple SAP components including working knowledge of PI and Web Dynpro for ABAP

·          Specific experience in developing various ABAP objects for the following areas preferred, Finance/Controlling (FI/CO), Project Systems (PS), SAP MM/ SAP Logistics and Supply Chain Management (SCM), Quality Management

·         Experience to IDoc /EDI/ALE, SAP Workflow, SAP Script/Smart Forms/Adobe (Interactive) Forms configuration and development experience preferred

·         Expertise in ABAP Objects and  Enhancement Tools including SAP Enhancement Framework

·         Experience in working on Technical Objects for SAP SRM and SAP SNC is a PLUS

·         Excellent trouble shooting skills.

·         Self Starter and willing to learn many new skills on the job

·         Willing to work flexible hours as the job demands
