Intel Opening For Win8 PNP Analysis Architect-Bangalore Location

Description

 The IAG/MCG/Platform Architecture Group is looking for a Power Architect to focus on Win8 Tablet products. In this position, you will perform Power and Performance analysis wrt Win8 Tablets - spanning applications, middleware, OS and Drivers; Characterize system behavior and use System knowledge to Project Power for future Platforms, Correlate to Post-Si data, and Propose recommendations on how to optimize overall system power / performance targeting both HW and SW. This position requires strong understanding of X-86 architecture (and micro architecture), Operating Systems (especially windows), workload analysis and power/performance measurement tools. Candidate is expected to easily span across HW/SW trade offs and identify best Architecture partition to optimize Power/Performance 

Qualifications

 You should possess a Master's degree or a Ph.D. in Computer Science and/or Engineering emphasis on computer architecture concepts including Application Processor/CPU/SOC micro-architecture, power and performance analysis on HW/SW tradeoffs and developing performance / power benchmarks.

Additional qualifications include:
- Ability to conduct performance analysis and a thorough understanding of modern CPU and mobile platform architectures
- Expertise / understanding regarding HW/SW/ucode behavior for optimal performance and power
- Experience in analysis tools like VTune
- Understanding of OS/Kernel � especially Windows
- Exposure to Performance and Power modeling with RTL/SystemC
- Performance and Power projection methodologies and correlation to silicon would be plus
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills
- Aptitude to working in small teams and to drive projects to completion with minimal supervision
- Proven track record in the industry in defining system architecture, software implementations and publications
